Military Defense Spending

Introduction

Military defense spending is one of the part of the Federal Government budget which is attached with the department of Defense and, part of this spending is always spent on military related expenditures. This budget is bound to deliver salaries, training and medical healthcare plans of army personnel either uniform or without uniform, maintenance of arms, several equipments and, facilities which include funds, operations and, deliveries of new equipment and, their purchasing. The budget of Military defense includes defense spending of Army, Navy, Air force, Marine Corps and guards.

Discussion

It has been noticed that, budget of 2010 when related to fiscal year for the same year brought total amount to $664.48 billion. When this budget was signed to the law in the month of October 2009, then budget was found to be $681 billion, which was more than the expectations of President Obama, at maximum $16 billion beyond his expectations.

There was the additional supplemental bill for the spring and, mid October which was found to be $36 billion because, of the expectations of war with Afghanistan and Iraq. This projection was delayed due to some official reasons. It has been greatly noticed and reported about the spending of Defense military spending, that due to wars with Iraq and Afghanistan, there was urgent need of emergency spending and supplementary spending because, spending were out of budget and, beyond expectations of United States President. There were too much expending after the war broke out and, US was not expecting immense amount of Spending on military defense. It is essential to have such a budget on Military and defense spending that, it will not fall short because, there is no hard and fast rule of the war and, anything can happen when the war breaks out. Therefore, budget should be made in such a way to overcome hurdles at the time, when there is emergency and requirements of lots of money to purchase military equipments, food and medical for uniform army. Supplementary spending bills are not included in the spending of military defense budget. Wars of Iran and Afghanistan are categorized as “Overseas Contingency Operations” and, it was noticed that, it had included in the budget.

United States had already spent an amount of $1000 billion in the year of 2008 when the war started with Afghanistan and Iran. It was the direct spending of United States.
