QUESTON: 2

PART- A

1) Seligman's Learned Helplessness experiment

This experiment determines the behavioral change for the condition of animal or human. The helpless behavior of these species to learn and adapt shows the focal point of this theory. Clinical depression and asocial mental illness results in the perceived absence of control for the outcomes of any given situation.

The experiment use to understand this model of learning and behavior is the use of animal with regular interval of stimuli. An adverse escape is not possible for the repeated exposure of hurting an animal in a given experiment. The pain avoidance will stop and shows helpless behavior of animal to alter the situation. The coping mechanism will be stoical and an act of discomfort (Maier & Seligman, 1976).

Many features of human defenselessness have no links with the animals. Explicit knowledge or “representation” is one of the more fascinating features. People can scrutinize another person who is practicing unmanageable proceedings and learn to be powerless themselves. This phenomenon is sometimes called explicit disturbance. Both humans and animals are two different living things which cannot be exist with the same features.

3) Bobo Doll experiment

Bobo Doll experiment is the model of Banduara and comes under the umbrella of social psychology. This model determines the association between the imitation and aggression (a social behavior) (Do, 2011).

The experiment of thirty six boys and girls from the Stanford University Nursery School between the ages of three to six years determine the controlled conditions through the use of a toy called Bobo doll. This experiment leads to the following conclusion:

Modeling, aggression arousal, and test for delayed information are three stages for this experiment which illustrates different behaviors.

The findings show that Social Learning Theory of is a behaviorist theory which effect subsequent behavior of child with all the consideration of control of independent variables.

The major drawback of this experiment is that the snapshot studies cannot demonstrate long term effects.

The possibility of considering this experiment as unethical is another major concern of this experiment.

The outcomes which obtained after this experiment had determined the difference of imitation and aggression level of the human. The social behavior always matters in the life which can further elaborate by the social circumstances.

PART-B

Control group is isolated from the rest of execution of experiment. The independent variable are tested that cannot influence the findings or results. The isolation of variable's effects rule out all the measures of the experimental results. Controlled experiments are the experiments that determine the control groups. A scientific experiment is the experimental procedure for a particular group which includes the testing of all the independent variables that are observed and recorded.
