Introduction

Microbiology is the science that focuses on the study of organisms microscopic. This study includes the identification and classification of microorganisms, the explanation of its origin and evolution; hence observing the interactions that occur between them or with other living beings. Microbiology developed linkages to two major events. The first was the emergence of a major epidemic that ravaged Europe, which led scientists to wonder what the cause of it was. The second was the development of a technology suitable for the study of these microscopic beings (Frobisher, 1962).
