Abstract

This plan serves as a strategic guide to promote prevention/intervention services utilizing programs proven to be effective in the reduction of risk factors associated with youth, community, and families in Miami-Dade County. The Circuit XI Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) partners with community, faith-based, and family-centered programs which promote positive behavioral health and wellness in youth and their families.

Mission Statement

To decrease juvenile delinquency and crime by conceiving a scheme of care that presents productive clues founded avoidance and intervention programs, which are inclusive of collaboration with DJJ Board partners, community constituents, stakeholders, parents, and youth.

 

Vision Statement

To conceive and apply an productive structure for evolving protected groups in which young children and families have wholesome, affirmative, and creative opportunities. 

 

Introduction

This design assists as a strategic direct to encourage prevention/intervention services utilizing programs verified to be productive in the decrease of risk components affiliated with youth, community, and families in Miami-Dade County.  The Circuit XI Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) partners with community, faith-based, and family-centered programs which encourage affirmative behavioral wellbeing and wellness in youth and their families. 

This design has been evolved by the JJB in agreement with Florida Statute 985.664, which states that the function of each juvenile justice board is to assist as an advisor to the Department of Juvenile Justice.  The JJB dynamically collaborates on a localized grade with diverse community partners to address the appearing desires of South Florida's at-risk and delinquent youth and families in the development and implementation of prevention\ intervention services.

The Miami-Dade County Circuit XI Juvenile Justice Board is comprised of the nineteen constituents shown in the design drawing overhead in addition to two added at large seats.  The Circuit XI board reconsiders and suggests funding of applicants for the Department of Juvenile Justice's Delinquency Prevention Grants.  It furthermore learns, revisions, and accounts from diverse financed community service providers.  As well as subcommittees and publicity hoc managing assemblies to address appearing matters for example Disproportionate Minority communicate (DMC) and legislative anxieties that influence Miami-Dade County (MDC) residents.  The board furthermore retains public monthly meetings to hold stakeholders and community constituents acquainted about matters associated to Juvenile Justice.
