Meta-Analysis of Exercise Therapy for Low Back Pain

Meta Analysis of Exercise Therapy for Low Back Pain

Meta-Analyses

The analysis of meta-analysis of exercise therapy for low back pain included those studies that compared strengthening to a non-strengthening control. For those studies with more than one strengthening arm, the group that received the more intensive strengthening program was compared to the control group (non-strengthening). In studies where there was more than one control group, the least “exercise oriented” form of treatment was selected for the comparison. Studies were also grouped by duration of treatment.

The meta analysis of pain of low back's exercise therapy is a systematic evaluation and re-weighted the results of randomized clinical trials. It is systematic because it analyzes the result or outcome of each individual patient, and is weighted because it gives greater weight to test more patients. A meta analysis is based on certain principles: systematic search and quantitative pooling, when possible, the results of all tests that draw on a similar question. The data for each individual patient are re-processed with reference to the endpoint.

The use of meta-analysis in pain of low back's exercise therapy as a tool arose from the explosion of information in clinical research, and is a way to summarize and restate the results of different studies on related issues. Grants the benefit also it can be applied even on relatively small trials and certain variations of methods and sources of the populations studied.
