Introduction

Mental illness is responsible for changing in moods, behaviours and thinking patterns. The extent of mental illness is different from patient to patient and its extent is depended on the types of illness, patients' environment and family surroundings. Mental health has similar significance with respect to the physical health and both directly effect to each other. Most of the people who are suffering from physical health issues are often develop depression and anxiety that can delay the response of their recovery. Furthermore, mental illness can increase the risks of physical illness issues like diabetes, heart disease, gastrointestinal and blood circulation diseases. Mental illness is commonly present in adults, for instance depression which may affect young people and other combinations of issues like difficulty experiencing in social interactions beaus of undesired attitude from peers at school and family can lead these young people for attempting a suicide in order to relief their pains (hc-sc.gc.ca).

Discussion Mental Illness and its Complex Relationships with Different Factors

A complex relationships among drugs issue, drug related crimes, general crimes are appearing into consideration with respect to the psychological and family problems. Keene (2005) has reported that there is strong relationship between crime and drugs because most of the crimes are attribution to drugs abusing issues. However, these two can affects the psychological state of mind of abusers as well as influence their family and partners relations (Keene, 2005, pp. 489-502).

Drug abusers share a common feature of mental illness and the relationship between mental illness and drug addiction is so powerful that most of the people have assumed that drug addiction is a probable cause of mental illness. However, studies show that drugs addiction is not a single attribute to mental illness, but there has been strong evidence that people who have mental illness try to medicate themselves by use of drugs (Liang, et.al, 2011, pp. 1304-1308). These finding have more impotence in order to analyse and study the prevention and treatment strategies against drug abusing issues with respect to the mental illness (Swendsen, et.al, 2010, pp. 1117-1128).

Furthermore, Barbui (2011) has reported that drugs are also consistently linked with the suicidal thoughts, attempts and completely suicide. The risk of suicide is greater in a person who is suffering from substance abusing issue as compared to the individual with depressions as a psychotic disorder. In addition, the density of violent act as well as crime is also associated with such drugs addicts (Barbui, 2011, pp. 397-401). On the other hand, drugs rehab programs and rehab centres are the first step in order to make the recovery connections activated for abusers. Rehab centres not only heal drugs addictions but also provide relief against psychological breakdowns (New Scientist, 2006, pp. 50-51).
