Article 1: Effective Clinical Supervision in Substance Use Disorder Treatment Programs and Counselor Job Performance

This research article is about the effective clinical supervision is substance use disorder treatment programs and the job performance of the counselors in it. As per this article, it is necessary to provide the effective clinical supervision in the cases when there is an inadequate training of the substance use disorders. The main aim of this article is to highlight on the relation of effective clinical supervision with the job performance of the substance use disorder counselors. In this article, the data have been retrieved through the survey conducted from the 392 substance use disorder counselors (Laschober, 2013). The conducted survey in this article was the paper and pencil survey. The effective clinical supervision had been rated by the counselors with the use of five multi-item-scales.

As per this article, there is a great role of mental health counselors in providing assistance to the groups, individuals and families in terms of the various issues related to mental health. The mental health counselors provide the mental health supervision in different issues like stress management, aging related changes, trauma, anxiety and stress.

The article has emphasized on the importance of effective clinical supervision in the enhancement of the job performance of a mental health counselor. As per this article, there is a great role of the effective clinical supervision in enhancing the job performance of the substance use disorder counselor (Laschober, 2013). The effective clinical supervision can facilitate the substance use disorder counselor in providing the best counseling to the mental health patients and recovering the issues of these patients. Thus, this is a very effective article written on the issues of effective clinical supervision and job performance of the counselors.
