The heart and core of this paper is to critically analyze the concept of male nurses in nursing profession. This study overviews the historical background of male nursing along with recent and future trends and perspectives of male nursing in today's world. Male nurses are rear in this modern world but if we look at the start of nursing career the situation was vice versa. In today's world recent researches shows that the 2.1 million listed nurses in the United States, only 5.4% of them are male. Men furthermore make up only 13% of all new nursing students.
