Introduction

Experiences and the memories of these experiences are the assets for any individual. These memories and experiences offer a chance and opportunity to individuals so that they can reflect up on the severity of the incident, its impact upon their life and personality of an individual and how individuals can use the memories of these incidents to further shape their lives and future. Similar to any other person, I have also undergone several experiences in my life that had a strong impact upon my life. I found some of these incidents to be very casual and irrelevant in the beginning. However, I realized it later of the importance of those experiences and how I have been able to change some of my perceptions. One of these includes the incident at a basketball tournament that was arranged by a group of boys in my neighborhood including me when I was ten. However, I was reminded of this match when I went to see a real basketball tournament. The fight that took place between the two players from the two teams reminded of the very violent fight that we had in our tournament.

The lights, the cheers, the enthusiasm, the energy, the crowd and in short the overall atmosphere of the interstate match made me nostalgic.

I saw the players entering the court, responding and waving to the crowd just like we did. I still remember of how excited me and my team were and how glad we were of the enthusiasm in the atmosphere. The whistle by the referee started the interstate tournament's match, which then reminded me of the loud drum played by the referee in our match. The catches, the throws, the score and even the commentary of the interstate basketball match reminded me of the basketball played in neighborhood.

However, this one incident really alarmed me. This was when two of the players from the visitor team were constantly passing insulting remarks to a player from the home team. This player from the home team seemed annoyed however, he was not responding much to them. The players of the visitor team continued with the sledging where they started passing remark on two more players from the home team. For the next fifteen minutes, looks and words were exchanged between the players, the body language ...
