Introduction

The Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN) is the only organization that aims to nurture and develop the nurses related to medical-surgical nursing in their career advancement. These nurses provide nursing care to all the patients in all the settings related to bodily systems and disease processes. It is the only national medical-surgical nursing organization which is dedicated to serving adult medical and surgical nurses (AMSN, 2012).
