The role of nursing is very clear in delivery of quality health care services and without it nothing is possible. There is no other health care profession that holds such a decisive and vast role. It is based on a set of activities that are aimed on providing health care to all the individuals who have health complications, mental incapability or any other severe problem. Nurses are those individuals who are self motivated and have the ability to keep the patient's attitude positive towards the medical treatment. There are situations in which most of the patients are found unable to trust the medical treatment that is provided to them in the health care institutions (Stoller, 1980, p.35).
This is mainly due to their psychological stress and anxiety from which they are going through. In these situations the role of a professional nurse is to make the patient calm, relaxed and motivated towards having treatment against the pain and suffering he or she is going through (Frommelt, 1991, p.43). It is the responsibility of the nursing professionals to gain trust of patient as well as his or her family because they are the ones who are mostly connected to them. Nurses should be capable of facilitating the patients and their families on making informed decisions effectively. They should able to make them clear about the disease that they are having and the precautionary measures. Nursing is a profession that encourages emotional attachment with the patients. Emotional attachment helps nursing profession in making the patient as well as their families relax and motivated with the medical treatment (Haisfi, 1996, p.931).
Personal Experience

It was Tuesday morning about 10 o' clock when we visited her place. She was an old patient who was suffering from severe infection in her knee and was required to completely replace it. This surgical wound was creating infection in her knee and her life was getting completely miserable. When we were informed about her case from hospital therefore we went to her place for a routine check-up. As she was an older citizen she was having more signs of stress and agitation towards having clinical treatment. There are many people in this age bracket who arte not willing to have any of the medical treatment as they feel that their disease would get even more worst then ever before. That patient was on OSH warning as she was not taking good care of herself and was having symptoms of stress and agitation towards having medical treatment.
This was the main reason that her wound was not getting heeled up and the infection was getting severe day by day. On that day we went there for IV antibiotics and daily dressing as she was not able to visit any medical institution for ...
