Throughout my childhood and soon after when I came into my high school, I always had a sensation that my interest is more towards animals whether they are pets, livestock or working animals, animals matter to individuals and society. Veterinary focus on preventing, diagnosing and curing diseases of animal's such as domestic, wild animals and farm animals. Today it is our responsibility for the inspection and sanitary control of food, prevention of zoonoses. The professional who implements this science is called a veterinarian. My research during the high school enhances my interest and inspired me to enter in the Veterinary medicine profession (www1.vetmed.lsu.edu).
To be part of national FFA member is dream of my life. In this organization the application of the principles of medicine, the diagnosis and treatment to all animals: pets, exotic pets (NAC), animals of zoos, wildlife and livestock are much more comprehensive than any other organization. The reason to be the veterinarian by professional is due to horrific health of animals. They have the ability to respond and seek comprehensive care of the various animal species including food, medical and surgical treatment, breeding, reproduction and production. Veterinary medicine careers as skilled professionals to diagnose, treat, control and / or eradicate diseases that affect different animal species.
Moreover, this profession manages, advice, plan animal health programs, dabbling highest concept of medical ethics. The veterinarian is a trained professional to maintain and improve animal health, increase production and streamline operations systems in species of economic interest, considering for this, preservation of environment and public health of persons.
The veterinarian is no longer restricted to the area of ??animal health; its wider field is the study, diagnosis and treatment of animal diseases. It plays a significant role in the sectors agro and livestock. The veterinarian receives adequate training in production and sanitary control of food of animal origin, fruits, vegetables and mushrooms for human consumption (the so called Health Inspector), including maintenance thereof, and all legislation reference. The functions that can perform these professionals may emphasize the observation, interpretation and diagnosis of the condition of the animals, improving the performance animal and livestock production, monitor the manufacture and circulation of foodstuffs of animal origin human consumption, analyze the behavior of animals, research and teaching.
My future plans to be a pre vet major in college as this science helps safeguard human health by monitoring the health of pets and wildlife. Emerging zoonoses require expertise in epidemiology and control of infectious diseases is particularly present in the focus of veterinary science. Veterinary Public Health has two priorities.
