Introduction

This essay focuses on the interview received by patients during a practice placement in society. A good nurse and the patient had developed relationships that enabled the author to feel confident and at ease while providing assistance. The author has learned and developed new skills that will be important for future clinical practice. Mr. Ian Clark is a 60-year-old English man. Mr. Clark was once married, but separated from his wife of many years ago. He has 2 children, but is not in contact with them. At the present time, Mr. Clark lives in a hotel room, provision of social services, after a long time in prison, and then on the street. He has a lady friend visits, which on a regular basis, they have known each other for 5 years.

Analysis

Mr. Clark, the medical history of hypertension, type 2 diabetes, which was diagnosed 5 years ago and has been administering insulin (Donnelly 2007) twice daily to control their diabetes. This continues for the last 2 weeks, and he is still undergoing further investigation.
