Introduction to Nursing

The accelerated development process by which some countries have undergone in recent decades requires professionals from various areas of expertise join in labor market with a new worldview in which values ??are present as competence, growth mutual, positive attitude, commitment and dignity. Nursing is the art of caring and also a science whose essence is the care and specificity to human, individual, family or community so integral and holistic, developing autonomously or in a team activity promotion, protection, prevention and recovery health. The knowledge based nursing care should be constructed at the intersection between philosophy, which answers to the great existential question of man, science and technology, and formal logic as responsible for the correctness and normative ethics, an epistemological approach effectively committed to human emancipation and evolution of societies.

In UK, the nurse is of a professional technical and higher level of health, initially responsible for the promotion, prevention and recovery in the health of individuals within their community. The nurse is a professional prepared to work in all areas of health care, administrative and managerial. Aims & Objectives of the Study

This study aimed to analyze the conceptions of nursing work roles and responsibilities. The main aim of the study is to demonstrate the roles and critically analyze them in the context of nursing and its profession. The profession of nursing is sensitive because of its critical role therefore the responsibilities and role needs to be analyzed critically.

Significance of the Study

The study is significant because over the years the role of the nurse was associated with the traditional management model and was based on contradictions generated by a rigid, overly specialized with routine functions and focused on doing without a critical reflection of your practice properly. The study is significant because it highlights the importance of nursing and its role which is highly recognized in health and care industry (SN Honor Code, 2008, section 5; McCabe, Trevino & Butterfield, 2002)..

The role of a newly qualified nurse tends to develop numerous roles in almost every sense be it leadership skills, especially in because the tasks are required. It is necessary that Nurse plays, whether in hospitals or activities in community health, the role of leader, once that is directly involved with critical analysis, identification problems, making decisions, planning and implementation of care, allocation of other professionals nursing team and motivating professionals health team.

It has been widely seen that the nurses are more close to patients as compared to the doctors because of their job nature and tight schedule of doctors. Traditionally, the role of nurse is considered as a helper to doctor and taking due care of patients. However, the concept is totally different in modern settings.
