In this research the author explained about Conventional medicine is getting old and cannot cure everything, which is why 40% of the nation has turned to some sort of unconventional medicine. This shows that unconventional medicine needs to be researched and used. One unconventional medicine is marijuana, which is already used for chemotherapy patients to help them with nausea and vomiting, and weight loss in associated to AIDS. Seven states have been granted permission to research marijuana and its many potential medical uses.

This is an article based on a study that was conducted to see how marijuana affects its users compared to non-users in a social alienating way. The way in which users see themselves, the world, and their values and morals are not much different then non-users. The detailed broke users up into four levels, based on how much they have used the drug and the alienation on a societal and personal level.

One of the main arguments against the legalization of marijuana is that smoking pot leads the user to use more hardcore drugs that could seriously hurt or kill him or her. This most predominant drug that marijuana leads to is heroin, which is very addictive and dangerous. The Federal Bureau of Narcotics said that since marijuana leads to harder drugs, then that's one of the main reasons that it is not legalized.
