Introduction
Language and the mode of communication have never been the same in the world as they exist today. In ancient times, the societies were not as civilized and developed as they are today. Even the language was not developed to a significant extent, let alone the modes of communication. The inhabitants of a society would use different symbols and signs to put across their message and view point. The people or societies who invented these signs and symbols were familiar with the message associated with each sign and symbol; however, in today's era we would find this sign languages and symbols to be extremely abstruse and intricate. The languages developed and transformed on a regular basis from ancient times to future, along with the constant progress in societies and civilizations; and today formal languages exist with their appropriate scripts in almost every part of the world. Not only is every country familiar with their own national language, but individuals are also acquiring the art of other languages (Kahn, 1996, pp.198).
Somewhat similar case exists with respect to the mode of communications. The process and procedure of sending across your message was not as simple and well crafted as it is today, specially if your message were to be delivered to some other community, society or region. The process of delivering the message would take days, weeks or even months; and by the time, the message would reach its recipient, the real essence of message, urgency or desired need of action would die and become less significant. However, just as the developments took place in language, even the mode of communication progressed from nothing to a level that would leave the individuals of even today's era fill with wonder or astonishment. What earlier took ages to be delivered can be sent across in a matter of seconds to a totally different part of the world, with the help of advancement and technologies now used in different aspect of communication. Over the years, the communication tools have taken many shapes and forms, and a person utilises tools to gain information with respective to his/her own discretion.
Media and Its Advancements
As described earlier, the media or mode of communications is not the same as it used to be in ancient times, it has progressed to a considerable extent, bringing a comfort to our life style and communication and facilitating us, by constantly updating us with the latest updates, developments and happenings throughout the world.
