Measures of Central Tendency

The measure of central tendency is a terminology in the field of descriptive statistics. The measures of central tendency are the mode, median and the arithmetic mean. The mode is the value that occurs most frequently within the distribution, i.e. on a graph would be the value at which the frequency distribution reaches its maximum. The median is the value of the center of the distribution. Above and below the median in each case there are exactly 50% of the values. It divides the distribution into two halves, so to speak. The arithmetic mean is obtained ...
