Introduction

McDonald's is one of the most popular brands that the world currently has. It is known throughout the world by children and adults alike. The sales of the company have been on the rise despite the fact that the company had some issues raised against it. To increase sales and profit of the company further and to increase its performance, management of McDonald's has formulated some strategies. A part of the business strategy that McDonald's has formulated is to portray the image of business as a provider of nutritious food. They are moving towards phasing out the soft drinks and the super size French fries that it offers (Paul, Adina, 2009).

McDonalds is one of the most renowned brands in the international markets with a huge customer base and spread out stakeholders. It owns and runs a large chain of fast food restaurants across the world. It is also considered as the pioneers of the fast food and related trends in the countries other than America and European ones.

Due to the immensely large customer and market base of the McDonalds, it also possesses a group of people and organizations that cast a direct impact on the market and business of the firm in the environment and surrounding. As clarified by the definition of the stakeholder and their role in any market or firm, McDonalds require and need many groups and their assistance in every way to function effectively and efficiently worldwide. Every firm or business possesses two different types of environment; the internal and the external. Accordingly, the firm depends on the people and groups outside and inside; and their synchronization to align the company's strategies with its goals and objective. The alignment between the external and internal environments is essential because of the harmony required from the internal as well as external people affecting the business of the firm. Consequently, the stakeholders are also categorized in internal and external stakeholders (www.mcdonalds.at).
