Markov Analysis: Answers to the Given Questions

Markov Analysis

A technique used to predict the value of any variable whose prospect value is not dependent on its past value. This analysis presents a ways of analyzing the availability and reliability of organizations whose components show strong dependencies. Further systems analysis techniques (for instance the Kinetic Tree Theory used in fault tree analysis) generally suppose component independence which may initiate optimistic forecasts for the system reliability and availability parameters. A number of typical dependencies which can be handled using Markov analysis are:

Components in warm or cold standby
