Introduction

Marketing is a systematic process that anticipates present and future needs and demands of the consumers through most efficient means. The process of marketing is completed only when the finish product reaches the customer successfully. This is done by determining carefully how your product should be delivered from the workshop to the customers. This is also termed as export distribution or chain. Defining the channel and your role that you play in it are important components of marketing planning (Kotler et al, 2010). These channels include retailers, distributors / sales agents, wholesalers, and direct (e.g. via e-commerce).

The bottom line is that in this paper I need to figure out what is the most appropriate and efficient distribution system for my products. Though marketing through internet face few distribution obstacles, internet is playing an active role in reaching customers; I will have to consider the best way to cater my customers through online marketing too.

Discussion

In this paper my aim is to specify how my company will make use of the most efficient avenue to make the products available to customers for them to purchase. Consumers are increasingly becoming demanding and if we fail to provide them products when, where and how they want it, then they will switch to our competitor's products.

Types of distribution channels

Distribution channel is basically a link or a pathway that transfers goods from producers to the ultimate consumers will look at the nature of my product in order to come up with the best distribution channel. Distribution channels entail marketing intermediaries, the firms or individuals that operate between the producer and the consumer. Wholesalers and retailers are the two basic categories of marketing intermediaries. (lardbucket.org)

Evaluating the characteristics and nature of my first product which is auto mobile products I will first decide on which location should I go for in order to distribute my cars to the consumers? It lead me to a decision that it will be more cost effective to hold cars centrally as it will give me the advantage to apply JIT stock control and yet elimination of need of intermediaries with only few of them needed.

I will prefer to set up a company owned show room with a lavish atmosphere to attract potential customers and create a bran image in minds of these individuals. As I will have full control over it I will promote practice ...
