Introduction

Communication plays a vital role in our development as humans as it is besides being a part of our preceding experiences, an important part of those gained daily. As humans we consider ourselves as relationship beings, therefore the awareness of this leads us for searching further more understandings of the principles, concepts and the skills needed during this process of communication, (Telhado, 2000).

Communication is the key for any business function to execute properly. In today's world of business, it is said to be an important parameter in the maintenance, change and construction of an organization. There is an immense importance of the communication structure, when it comes to achieving greater member loyalty, (Smith and Brown, 1964).Individuals communicate to in order to gain the compliance of the other people in their surroundings, and in our case, the organization. These way communications help individuals engage other people behave in the manner they want them to, (Richmond et al 2005).

In our discussion, we will be focusing on the issues that are faced by an executive, pertaining to communication. We will also be discussing whether these issues will become less complex, or more complex. Further, we will also be evaluating the role played by technology in transferring thoughts and ideas. Lastly we will also be discussing how communication can help in removing the gap between education, incomes and generations, for that matter. Discussion

Communication must be efficient in the workplace, so as to ensure that the employees and the employers are on the same page. This is true not only for the employees; however it is also true about the customers. Organizations that are global and those whose human resource displays true colors of a cultural blend need to be extra careful in what and how they communicate. Both upwards and downwards communication at a work can be influenced to a greater extent. Managers must keep in mind the different cultural backgrounds and the ethnicity of their work force. As far as the customers are concerned, it is of great importance that the employees must be able to completely understand their needs and address to their issues and problems in a manner which is efficient, otherwise, company may find hard to retain their customers and may also find difficulties in attracting new ones. Another issue that needs to be properly addressed is that the employees must have good listening skills. This way they can better understand their customers.

Organizations that are huge face issues in both, upwards and downwards communication.

Upwards communication is initiated at the lower level of an organizational structure. Without it the management is not able to be in touch with the moods of the people who work for them. There may also be an under estimation of the employees and moreover, the management may miss out the emerging issues in their market domains, (Tourish, 2005).
