The Company HP “Hewlett-Packard” is an American multinational firm and world's leading manufacturer of information processing systems. HP deals with wide range of personal computers, laptops, electronics, monitors, printers, and computer accessories. The company also provides IT consulting services and software solutions to its clients. However, HP has held the standard of trusted brand among its clients in the world, and also maintained its position and revenues since long time. Apart from it, the future of HP is very dubious, as the company has taken such wrong strategic steps that led them into serious consequences. The issues of HP are badly needed to restructure its corporation.

Fall of HP Strategies

The most astonishing moves of the Hp were to spin off its personal computer business, which is the central revenue generating business operation from many years. By spinning their core business, we cannot exactly say where HP will find its future. After few months, HP showed the disappointing financial outcomes which really required to initiate some powerful policy. HP is somberly needed to focus on its product development for expanding its businesses. However, HP had no long term business vision that could make its profitable on greater extent. Particularly, the company mentions that the solutions and software can be integral for its planning (LaPlante, 2013). HP has to hold some business vision for leading their company towards higher growth and make it more successful as earlier.

It has been observed that the operations solutions and software of Hp are not completely perfect for market. We find some gaps in its operation, which need to be addressed. The investors of company or shareholders do not seem happy to hear about the flaws of company. Moreover, we find that HP may have failed in the mobile phones market, and its acquisition with the Palm may have been a wrong way. The core loss of HP was to lose its Tablets. The decision of discontinuing its TouchPad was the key mistake of HP. in the sooner time, the company kicked out from the tablet market by doing such measure.

Moreover, Hp made another wrong key strategic decision of having a Palm in the year of 2010. However, the decision was taken in the alternative of enlarging growth of smart phones market, which immediately showed a wrong calculation of profit. HP had faced the tough competition from Blackberry and therefore, HP suffered from huge financial losses in the ending part of 2012. Thus, it is also essential to know that what kind of restructuring HP requires. The company needs to completely review its HR practices and strategies. However, the history displays the focus on the mergers and acquisitions. Probably, this was the reason of its failure to develop and introduce the key software and computers industry.
