Introduction

One of the most welcoming cities in Tasmania, this is one of those cities that appreciates its visitors. There are many things that are appreciated here by the visiting people; it is one of these places that really thrill people who are interested in history as it boasts of one of the oldest museums in the Country of Australia. There are many churches as well here like St Mary Magdalene Church. It has fine external structure that consists of granite. Being one of the oldest and classic cities of the country, unlike some of the other places in Australia, it has retained its heritage and there is a sense of mystery about this place. All these things are reflected in the art and overall culture of the city. There are independent shops that are absolutely loved by the customers as well as some of the community markets as well. One of the better things about these markets is that more or less all the goods are resourced from the local material and thus there is this sense of exceptionality about them (As, 2012,, 266) The median average age of people of Launceston is said to be around 336 which is 1 year below the Australian median average Almost 50% of the people in this region hail from Australia, and after them, English residents are about 4% 46).

Location of the City

The city is located between the Cornish coasts of North and South. This is one place where tourist comes in numbers, and it has been always said that tourists like to visit here again and again. Social Environment

City has certain laidback culture. There is an emphasis on festivity and thus there is this sense of celebration in the city. On the other hand, this laidback life style has also led towards a lifestyle that is not really conductive to economic activity (Verdich, 2010, p.140). The working culture of the city is not really that great and thus it reflects on the way people go about their ways. Another thing that has been noticed that there is this lack of physical ability and even though there is a lot of effort and investment on reviving the sports culture it is also still behind when compared to some of the other cities of Australia (Hardy, 2002,, 475).

Economic Environment
