Abstract

This paper highlights the effective usage of marijuana, and how the field of medicine is approving the fact that it is helpful in various ways. Now, the recent literature has pointed out a difference in the perspective related to marijuana. Ancient history has always used marijuana as a cure for different pains and depression modes. Scientific researches' now also proves, and support the ancient fact as many leading doctors have accepted the point of using marijuana in various pains associated to different medical problems. Marijuana consists of substances that will help in providing relief to patients suffering from cancer, aids, and significant problems.

However, there is still a question on making it legal and lawful to practice marijuana equivalent medication. Concerns may arise in usage of it because marijuana makes the patient addicted also it is bad for the lungs.

Introduction

Whenever you will think about the marijuana, what comes to your mind? I am sure most of us will think it is an illicit drug famous amongst people who actively abuse various drugs. However, this is not the actual reality of marijuana. Ancient history displays the fact that marijuana has a positive background as well displays its valuable usage as medical assistance. There is agreement that marijuana was medically first used in China, and approximately 4,000 years ancient writing from ancient India confirms its medical usage for a variety of illness. However, it was spread in the European colonies during the 18th Century, and so in America. It also used for its damaging properties, but the benefits were also highlighted during the ancient world as a medical herb for pain, and illness (Alan, 2000).

United States government does not encourage the medicinal usage of marijuana. However, 12 states law does allow the medical use of it and only peculiar sick people qualify for its usage. Lately, some of the top class doctors are encouraging the usage of marijuana based drugs for medical purposes, so that US government refrains from prohibiting the usage of it in treatment of patients, also let their research be implemented.

Medical Marijuana (Cannabis Sativa) can be defined as medically controlled use of marijuana by patients for the medical issues such as severe pain, nausea and vomiting, multiple sclerosis, weight loss, poor appetite and for different other problems (Earlywine, 2002).
