Origin

China is known principally for its tea and opium, a large number of his men, and a huge number of Chinese restaurants, as well as hemp come from China (Cermak 2003). The Chinese are already cultivating cannabis 4500 years BC. They were able to spin yarn for clothes, and make fishing nets and ropes with him. The first medicinal applications were described two thousand years later. It has been used for rheumatism, gout, malaria, and other violations.

Scientists do not agree that the Spaniards were the original importers of cannabis in America. This is certainly true that the Court of Columbus have been equipped with hemp ropes and sails of hemp cloth. The plant spread quickly in America, and in the early seventeenth century, large plantations of cannabis has started to meet the needs of the ship - and clothing industries. Throughout most of human history, marijuana was completely legal. This is not a recently discovered plant, as well as long the law. Marijuana has been illegal under 1% of the time that they were in use. Its known uses go back further than 7000 BC and it was legal as recently, when Ronald Reagan was a boy.

Marijuana (hemp) plant, of course has an incredible number of uses. The first law of American marijuana has been accepted in the colony of Jamestown, Virginia in 1619. It was the law "ordering" all farmers to grow Indian hemp. There were some other "must grow" laws over the next 200 years (you can be jailed for not growing hemp during times of shortage in Virginia between 1763 and 1767), and for most of that time, hemp was legal tender (you can even to pay taxes on hemp - try that today) Hemp was such a critical crop for different purposes (including the basic requirements of the war - "a rope, etc.), the government went out of its way to stimulate growth. U.S. Census 1850 is 8,327 hemp "plantations" (minimum 2,000-acre farm) of cannabis hemp for cloth, canvas and even the rope used for packing of cotton.
