Understanding the Concepts of Project Management

Understanding the Concepts of Project Management

Executive Summary

By the upcoming 5 to 10 years, the technology of wireless networking will radically restructure the information and communications infrastructure of the entire world and mostly in health care services. Advanced and contemporary digital technologies are using radio based systems in order to introduce a huge variety of services to hospitals as well as other stakeholders, including data services and ever present mobile telephone and several other types of video programming (Anonymous, 2007, p.1). Present wireless infrastructure such as television and radio broadcasting, multiple data and satellite networks, cellular telephony and all the technologies will be shortly converted into advanced and unprecedented digital technology. This conversion and shift to digital technology will permit the hospital management to enhance their services quality and commencement of digital technology will help in expanding the amount of users they are serving. This shift to digital technology will also offer entertainment applications and new information. Before the advantages of wireless systems are recognized in managing the overall performance off health care service provider, however, economic, financial, technical and regulatory uncertainties are needed to be resolved (Anonymous, 2007, p.1).

This paper will highlight the role of the wireless technology infrastructure in developing wireless networks and information infrastructure. This paper will also highlight the challenges that regulators and policymakers will be facing while integrating wireless technology in the organizations. As wireless technology is becoming a fundamental constituent of the information and telecommunications infrastructure, thus, project managers of the organizations must use effective and efficient ways for implementing wireless technology infrastructure in their organizations. This paper will highlight the financial implications for the implementation of wireless technology infrastructure in order to provide widespread use of wireless services and systems (Anonymous, 2007, p.1).

Discussion

Advantages of wireless technology infrastructure

Businesses and consumers have realized that the technology of wireless system have exceptional potentials that permit the businesses and consumers to accomplish the tasks that are not possible with the use of wire based systems or such tasks that are not efficient or cost effective. Foremost and first, the technology of wireless systems has made the mobile communication possible. The users of wireless technology are using cellular phones for receiving and making phone calls while flying, driving, and walking. Computers are equipping radio modems which are allowing the users to receive and send electronic mail and data (Bansal, 2007, p.1). Moreover, systems that are based on radio systems are offering more affordable and flexible access to the communication or information resources of the nation, not merely for the mobile users rather for the users who are fixed at a specific location. In addition to this, systems that are based on radio systems are offering more affordable and flexible accessibility to the communication/information resources of the nation, not merely for the mobile customers rather also for such people who are tied to specific place (Bansal, 2007, p.1). Such systems that are based on wire can be extended in order to provide services to ...
