Managing People in Organization
Introduction
The hierarchy of organizations decides who will lead who and who has to report to whom. It is these people who will provide the organizations with ideas that formulate and improve the way the organization works. Moreover, it is these people and their unique skills that will transform the company from being a normal to greatness. Everything that happens in a company is done by people. Even the machines that are made are made by humans and operated by the employees of the company (Plunkett, 2008, Pp. 68-73).
On the other hand, recruitment has been traditionally defined as a process, whose objective is to locate and attract an adequate number of candidates with the requirements defined initially, then to select the most suitable persons to fill vacancies in the organization. Recruitment can also be seen as an information system through which an organization reports to the labour market of positions offered. So defined, recruitment is only the first stage of the recruitment process (Edgar, 2010, pp. 250-265).
The recruitment activity precedes and conditions the selection, so that no selection technique can improve the goodness of the candidates that are obtained through recruitment. However, the demographic situation, high levels of unemployment and low turnover given in firms made up about the last decade of the twentieth century, companies concern primarily to study the techniques used in the selection rather than improve the recruitment process (Plunkett, 2008, Pp. 68-73).
The increasing awareness of the importance of the human element and the disparity between supply and demand for certain groups created in recent years, a greater interest in attracting candidates and attracting valuable. In this new context, the spontaneous reception or reception curricula in response to the publication of a job is no longer sufficient (Edgar, 2010, pp. 250-265).
