ABSTRACT

This dissertation is aimed to identify why managing human resources and the communication process is important during an acquisition or merger within the UK Holiday Resort sector. The UK holiday market is booming at the moment, due to the recession and people choosing not to go abroad, and the amount of visitors to the UK holiday market has risen by 26%, customer relationships are of utmost importance, as the Holiday resorts will be looking for repeat bookings from the holiday makers that visit the resorts, and they will only repeat their booking if they receive good service and good experiences from the employees that are on the front line and deliver the services and products to them.
