Introduction

A manager plays a vital role for any organization (O'Neill, 2011). He is someone who knows how to work out with other people in order to get results and make them successful. A successful manager is the one who manages and leads people and the organization to achieve its goal.

The Manager

I happened to meet Ms. Randell, supervisor/manger in-flight at Omega Airlines based in Atlanta. He has done an amazing job while handling the projects and the people together he has held a number of positions in Marketing department. She is associated with Omega for the past seven years in which she held a ground position; it has been 2 years that she is dealing with in-flight passenger procedures. I have the privilege to have worked with her for a year. The environment at Omega is very co-operative. The best part was that she owned her subordinates with their problems.

Good Manager

A manager has to be an effective leader, who has the ability to communicate well with the workers and the management and resolve any issue if occur (Gates, n.d). Apart from knowing about the industry and organization, a leader should possess many qualities in order to become an effective and an efficient manager.

As I have mentioned above that Randell is extremely a self-motivated manager. She takes initiatives to gain smart approach of executing a task. The ability to get oneself take charge and to face the challenges is an important characteristic of the manager. Her motivated personality in turn motivates her employees. I was a fresh starter and needed a lot of motivation which I received from her every time.

A manger's integrity (Kriel et.al, 2005, p.33) should not be a question. Randell did not only stand for us but incessantly supported us all the way through. I felt in her ...
