Importance of Management in an Organization:

Managers play key role in various phases of modern organizations. For instance sales managers supervise sales force; personal managers give organizations a creative work force while plant managers manage manufacturing operations. According to the study made by (Drucke P, 2012) an effective management is needed for developing countries because it is the main resource of developed countries. In addition to this he reveals that whether the country is developed or developing there is always a need of good managers.

Role of Management in an Organization

Mainly the role of managers is to provide guidance to organization to achieve goals and objectives. The role of the Management is to progress an organization towards its reasons or goals by assigning activities that organization members execute.

Management endeavours to give confidence individual activity that will lead to reaching organizational goals and to discourage individual activity that will hold back the achievement of the organization objectives. All the managers should emphasize on the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.

Creation of vision

Managers create vision of the organization; they also create mission statements of the organization.

Implementation of Vision

Mangers split the mission statement into particular and achievable goals. They help employees in work management and also give them direction to achieve goals of the organization.

Facilitation of change

There is always need of change in organization in order to remain competitive in the market. Managers help organization in dynamic changes.

Information Gathering

Managers also gather information and remain stay touch with their higher authorities. They work on “open door” policy with the workers to update themselves about the issues of workers.

Communication

They also communicate the relevant information with the concerned persons by face to face meeting or by other means.

Decision-Making

The main role performed by managers is decision making. They take decisions to resolve small issues as well as for big issues.

Creation of healthy environment

Mangers keep a healthy environment in an organization by promoting healthy relationships among the workers; they boost a positive climate in an organization.
