Zur Muehlen, M. (2004). Organizational management in workflow applications-issues and perspectives. Information Technology and Management, 5(3-4), 271-291

Zur Muehlen in his article clearly demonstrates that leadership and management are two different things and they can be considered as two sides of the same coin. However, these two elements are one way or another linked with each other because without good leadership, management cannot improve the performance and productivity of the organization alone.

Moreover, researchers reflect that in the absence of management, leadership cannot effectively handle all the processes and operations of the business. According to many theorists, the main difference between these two important elements is that management is relevant to coordinate, plan and organize whereas leadership is relevant to motivation and inspiration.

Every business organization focuses on its management and leadership strategies in order to enhance the productivity and performance of the business organization.

Groves further explains in the article that it is necessary for the management of the organization to implement appropriate and effective leadership strategies within their working environment. They can do it by taking continuous feedback from their employees regarding their management and leadership strategies. Furthermore, they must make introduced appropriate strategies, in order to over come the weaknesses in their leadership style. This may greatly help the organization in enhancing and improving the integrity of their business

These factors include some of the needs of any job: adequate salary, working conditions, and job security and performance benefits.

Furthermore, both the researchers agree on the fact that in any organization only two types of scenarios can take place; either the employees will feel positive inequity or the negative inequity. Former can be defined as when people feel that they are rewarded with more than the others. On the other negative inequity is vice versa.
