As with any organization, the way the work force is controlled and managed plays a significant part in how the company performs in the coming time. Every company has a number of resources at its disposal, one of which is labour, therefore, the better utilization of resources that takes place, the better would be the result for the company.

Bespoke is a manufacturer of furniture and fittings. It must be striving to produce its units of furniture and fittings at the least cost. As a result of which it will be able to have a cost effective product in place, and it must aim to produce at a cost equal to if not lower than its competitors.

Learning, training and development and the application of Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

There are a number of benefits associated with having a planned approach towards learning, training and development. It basically increases the productivity of the employee involved in training and development, as a result of which the organization would benefit as a whole. It aids in reducing the costs of the organization and also increasing the revenue of it, which would simultaneously affect the profitability of the organization. Training acts as a motivational force for the worker as it gives an impression to the employee that the organization is taking care of him and is also catering for the worker's growth needs.

As far as motivating of the worker is concerned, the training and development would play a significant role as the employee would become more committed to his job as well as the organization, as he would feel that the organization is taking care of his growth needs.

The organization can benefit from the continuous professional development (CPD) in a number of ways. CPD basically refers to the recording and arranging of the training, as you go through it. So that you will have a formal view of the training procedures you have gone through with. Training can take a number of forms whether it is the knowledge or the practical experience you have had.

CPD will help you in setting your goals and objectives as a part of the workforce. It will help you identifying your ambitions and also encourage you to follow your goals and objectives, and act accordingly.
