Salvation Army is an international movement of the working areas in social work and Christian preaching, which are closely related. My organization is implemented by the following steps of decision making. The practical social activity includes, among other homeless care, homes for children, the elderly, alcoholics and the disabled, AIDS - prevention, schools, hospitals, disaster relief, prison welfare and the International tracing Service of the Salvation Army for missing family members are also known to thrift stores, whose revenues benefit the charities. The international Salvation Army work is divided into territories, each of which has a national headquarters. The headquarters for Germany, Lithuania and Poland is located in Cologne, which for Switzerland, Austria and Hungary in Bern. All over the World, it has about 1.7 million members, including 1.1 million Salvationists, the rest are recruits and members of groups of friends. In 15,765 communities, about 1,900 schools, 3,600 social institutions, 21 hospitals and 202 health centers and clinics, it employs 17,070 officers and 109,518 employees.

Mission and rules of our organization

The principles of the Salvation Army are based on the texts of the Old and New Testaments. The organization disseminates the ideas and tenets of the Bible through sermons, as well as assists those in need of social, medical, counseling, moral and other support, including the provision of material assistance in emergency situations. The Salvation Army has canteens for the poor, lodging houses for the homeless, youth clubs, working with prisoners and other antisocial elements of society. The mission of the Salvation Army is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, to satisfy basic human needs, to give private instruction and encourage the spiritual and moral revival and physical rehabilitation of all those who need that fall under its guardianship, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, and age.
