Knowledge Creation (Week 6 CAL Progress Report)

Knowledge Creation (Week 6 CAL Progress Report)

The research topic that I have selected for the Critical Action Learning (CAL) project is “Knowledge Creation” that is currently considered as one of the essential tools used in enhancing the competitive advantage of the organization. Knowledge creation is related to combination, continuous transfer and conversion of diverse kinds of knowledge that the users or employees use within an organization in learning, practicing and in interaction. In my view knowledge creation can be encouraged within an organization with the help of knowledge sharing and through recording of knowledge (Lambiotte & Panzarasa, 2009, p.180).

Knowledge creation can help the workers in managing their assigned duties and responsibilities in a more meaningful and effective way, as they will be having complete awareness on how they can achieve the desired outcome (Camagni & Capello, 2009, p.145). With the help of knowledge creation activity, the organization can form suitable work environment that would support the employees in accomplishing the organizational goals.

Things that have helped me in gathering effective information and literature related to my project were the online libraries and class lectures. I have learned how to plan a framework for completing my Critical Action Learning (CAL) project in an effective way (Hartley & Rashman, 2010, p.145). The management concepts that were discussed in the classroom have helped me in designing a structure that would guide me in achieving the required results. The class assignments and mini reports have given me strength on taking up this project confidently.
