Introduction

As a member of the joint venture team, it is imperative and essential that the management structures and systems for the facility in Indonesia should be maintained, for which organizational change can play crucial role. Today, it is observed that the growth that has taken the acquisitions and mergers by companies worldwide as a way to cope with globalization and increased competitiveness. In this context of management structures and systems development for the facility in Indonesia, these processes of change involve a change in the life of the company that is, in the way as a mid-level manager, I do and think both formally and informally within the organization. It comes just as the change of management structures and systems, which usually implies changing attitudes and behaviors of the members of the organization through processes of communication, decision making and problem solving looking for individuals to work together for the effective management structures and systems.

The question presents a model that seeks to serve as a starting point for managers to communicate the change in a company. This model outlines a number of factors to be taken into account when starting a management structures and system process in a context of organizational change, specifically in the case of joint venture.

Organizational Change and Communication

In context of organizational change, communication when applied in organizations is called organizational communication. This communication occurs naturally in all organizations, regardless of type or size and therefore cannot imagine a non communication. Under this perspective, organizational communication is the total set of messages exchanged between the members of an organization, and its environment.

Organizational communication is essential for the integration of management structures and systems. For example, the objectives of planning for development for the facility in Indonesia are communicated so that it can develop the appropriate organizational structure. Organizational communication is also essential in the selection, evaluation and training of managers to carry out their functions in this structure (Cameron & Green, 2004). Similarly, effective leadership and the creation of an environment conducive to motivation rely on this communication. Moreover, by organizational communication, as a mid-level manager for a US-based manufacturing company, the events and performance conform to the plans can be determined.

For the development of the facility in Indonesia, organizational communication for management structures and systems can be divided into internal communication and external communication. In relation to organizational change, internal communication for management structures and systems indicates that it is the set of activities carried out by any organization for the creation and maintenance of good relations with and among its members through the use of different media to keep them informed, integrated and motivated to contribute their work to achieve organizational objectives.
