The very idea that human resources in the company is a source of sustainable competitive advantage has led many research studies being conducted on the integration of Human resource management strategic theory.Effective work force can change the entire look of the organization by allowing it to work much more smoothly. The Contribution of the workforce or employees in the growth of the organization cannot be denied. This is the reason due to which many organizations today are taking steps in order to transform the environment in which the Human Resource operates and at the same time also give them the perfect environment to work in.

Today the role of leadership has been greatly altered, with experts believing that it is about time when leadership styles should be aptly practiced to ensure that it boosts the productivity of the workforce as it is the workforce that is a crucial asset to the company which tends to indulge in the routine administrative and operational tasks of the company and aid in the accomplishment of organizational goals and objectives.Leadership, therefore, is the process of influencing people and directing them to accomplish the goal (Dooley & Alagaraja 2002).

Lack Of Leadership Can Result In Business Failure

There are two schools of thought regarding the failure of business. One says that business doesn't fail it's the leader that fails while the other says it's the business that fails. There are many cases that contribute to the failure of a business that once was successful. Either way the reasons behind a failure of a business are:

Ineffective management

Lack of control

There is lack of clear defined strategy as to what the organization ought to do which is could be due to deficient business plans. Companies should be clear about their marketing mix that is in terms of product, price, promotion as well as place. Since the basic foundation of the marketing mix isn't formed in an effective way it is obvious for the internal stakeholders to have confused sense of purpose and it would consequently result in employees working for different missions. Such a situation impacts the momentum of the organization as plans that are made are hay wired due to absence of common or mutual goal. Ineffective management

Due to absence of common goal, the internal stakeholders are working with their own perception or definition of the mission of the company. Different goals and mission means different plans and different plans mean conflicts and conflicts eventually lead to an obstruction in the work flow eventually hindering the productivity of the organization. The internal environment or culture of the organization becomes a toxic culture with never-ending conflicts.
