Introduction

The mobile handset brand that I have chosen is Apple and the geographic area the company needs to concentrate more on is Asia. In order to understand the current scenario of the brand at a holistic level it is important to understand the background of the company.

Company Background

Apple was founded in the year of 1976. Apple is known for its designing, production, and marketing strategies for their consumer electronic products involving computers, smart phones, portable devices, digital music players and also their range of software. Their products and services can be categorized as Mac, iPod, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and iCloud. They also provide the digital content to their customers, and also various applications via their retail Stores. The company has been involved in selling their products through their online stores, direct sales force, and their own retail stores, allowing them to show their physical existence in the market.

Their motive remained the same throughout the years, to provide their user with the best experience by providing them the most elegant designs of their products through their continuous innovation and creativity. They never compromised on the quality of the products been manufactured under the roof of Apple Inc. Their uniqueness, as compared to their competitors, is that they not only provide the products, but they also design and develop their own operating systems for their products such as, Mac OS, and iOS, and also other software and applications to support their products.

The main markets in which Apple Inc. focuses on are the computers, mobile communications, and other digital media devices. Their main products include Mac computers, iPhone, IPad, and iPod. With its growth through the continuous investment in Research and Development department, the company has also designed the Apple Smart TV, which allows another opportunity to them for capturing a new market. The latest innovation in store for them was the introduction of iPad Mini into the market, which is yet to reach all the Apple followers, as this is another indication of them being the most innovative company in the industry (www. apple.com).

Internal Analysis of Apple Inc

Strengths

Apple is highly Tech savvy. Apple tends to produce products which are user friendly and at the same time have stability as compared to the other OS systems used in the products. Apple Inc. has said to make use of integration strategy whereby it has integrated with Microsoft product lines along with the other Intel processors which tend to exhibit the ability as well as the willingness to adapt to the needs of the customer base which has higher degree of diversity. Such intensity of innovation is not possible and cannot be sustained if there was no learning environment that is mistake tolerant (Thompson & Strickland, 2003).
