The term 'Training' refers to the planned efforts which are made by the organization and its management to teach and assist its employees and workers in order to develop in them the skills, job-related knowledge, abilities and such behaviors, the application of which, helps them in their jobs at hand. The aim of the entire training process is to assist employees in achieving their job related goals. Thus, the purpose of training caters to the needs of employees' current jobs (Robinson & Robinson, 1998).
Another term used interchangeably with training is the development. It is defined as the type of learning that extends beyond the needs of employees regarding the job at hand. The development needs of employers have a long-term focus and they prepare them for the future jobs, thus, proving to be Strategic Training for employees. For a profession in AR-MEDCOM it is vital to have psychological empowerment. Psychological empowerment is established based on motivational construct which eventually leads to intrinsic task-oriented motivation. Psychological empowerment is through three sets of cognition that are self-determination, competency level and importance of the job. In the presence of the three set of cognitions the trainee is bound to be open to learning and produce the desired job behavior in an effective and efficient manner.
