Malcolm X

Introduction

The world in which we live today is full of different people. These different people belong to different religion, different race and different ethnicity. When these different people come together to live in a society then it is obvious that conflicts will occur. As a result of the different people living together in a society together creates diversity. The issue of diversity, racism and ethnicity is very common and old in United States. There are a lot of issues in an American society related to race and ethnicity. It can be said that in today's era the public perception has changed and there are less conflicts about race and ethnicity as compared to the old days. In old days the fight between blacks and whites was the core issue. We have reached to a situation where these differences seem to be little because of the efforts of a lot of people. There are a lot of personalities that have spat their lives to eradicate the difference between black and whites. The aim and objective of this research is also to talk about one such personality. The personality that is chosen for this paper is Malcolm X. The research paper discusses the personality of Malcolm X from a specific perspective which is defined in the thesis statement.

Thesis Statement

The aim of this research is to prove that Malcolm X was not wrong he did effort for the unity of black African Americans and for their rights. The purpose of this research is to show all those people who are against him that he was fair and was not talking about the supremacy of the blacks only.

About his trip to Mecca, Malcolm X had said it was "the first time I had ever stood before the Creator of All and felt like a complete human being." He added "I'm a human being first and foremost, and as such I'm for whoever and whatever benefits humanity as a whole." Malcolm X transformed the debate over the role of blacks in American society and paved the way for a radical change in the Civil Rights movement, from nonviolence to assertiveness and militant self-defense. The statements of Malcolm X that are shown above are simple examples to show that he was not working for the supremacy of the blacks only rather he used to believe that all are equal and should be live together (Marable, 2011).
