Why does it seem that the company has avoided developing production facilities outside the United States?

Established in 1907, Harley Davidson was put together by two friends, William Harley and Arthur Davidson, who wanted to develop a motor-powered bike (Harley Davison). Since then, the company has evolved into a transnational multibillion-dollar company.

Over the years, the company has expanded into several different countries and markets; however, they have not shifted their production overseas.
