The research focus is based on Lung Cancer. It is the manifestation of cancer that has made the most demises in both male and female all around the whole planet. Breast Cancer has been surpassed by Lung Cancer as the explanation for the most cancer-identified deaths around ladies in America. Lung cancer is one of the most common types of cancer that is diagnosed. Smoking is one of the primary causes of this form of cancer and it causes loss to several lives every year. The motivation behind this study is learning of the components that will cause medical practitioners and patients to settle on better choices on the best way to treat lung cancer.
Thus, this chapter surveys the methodology employed for conducting research for the study such as, the research methodology, data collection procedures, research design, data analysis procedures, reliability and validity of the data, and limitations of the data.
Research Methodology
Research Methodology is an essential part of any research. According to Scanlan (2001), the term refers to a systematic way in which, data is collected for the study in order to address the research questions. More simply stating, research methodology is a comprehensive plan that takes researcher from formulating and re-stating the research questions till discovering answers for them (Sanchez, 2006). The research in the proposed study will be conducted using a qualitative method research selected according to the nature of the problem/study and the desired study objectives. In the qualitative study, different journals will be analyzed. In addition, different articles and researches will be assessed and data will be collected in order to gain a more precise and enhanced knowledge of the lung cancer and its effects on body.
There are various researchers and scholars, who rely on the notion that mixed methodology research process is not unethical and it, can be employed in any study in harmony with the needs of that study. The nature of research questions and the objectives of the proposed research must need to be wisely checked before applying any research methodology. This will help in attaining the desired objectives for the proposed study.
Research Design
The study employed exploratory research approach, which helped in retrieving relevant theories around the topic and in gaining better understanding of the prior research on the evaluation of induction training program. The exploratory research can be executed by conducting a thorough search of the literature around the topic (Saunders et al. 2007). The qualitative data will be collected by analyzing different journals. In addition, different articles and researches will be assessed and data will be collected in order to gain a more precise and enhanced knowledge of the lung cancer and its effects on body.
Moreover, the study relied on an inductive approach, with an emphasis on developing insights from the data collected (Crouch & McKenzie, 2006; Neuman, 2003). The primary purpose of an inductive approach is to allow researcher to search for frequent themes emerging in the qualitative raw data, ...
