Introduction

“Loneliness” is as very sad yet very beautifully written poem by Laura Cortes born in the year 1981. The poem is undoubtedly one of the most recognized works by Laura and includes a strong interesting theme, appropriate choice of words and a unique sense of symbolism. In fact, the poem uses symbolism to create a link between the past and the present (Bertman, pp.165).
