Introduction

When we talk about literary work and comparison of two poems, it is very difficult to do it because both the poets, Mary Oliver and Dickinson, were equally great and had enormous command in their respective field of arts; poetry. The two poems we will be comparing are Mary Oliver's poem “Wild Geese” with Emily Dickinson's “Because I could not stop for death.” The reason why I chose these two poems was because they both follow the same genre; nature and human life.
