Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is a novel by British writer Charles Otwedj Dodgson. This story revolves around a seven year old girl named Alice. This girl dreamed of adventure in an underground Wonderland. Through the Looking Glass, from where she met with a variety of fabulous and fantastic characters that dwell in its own special logic. It is interesting to note that there are a lot of versions of this book, written by different authors. This novel though being famous has both pros and cons about it. A literary analysis of this novel is quite interesting as it highlight pointers that are worth considering.

This novel begins with the story of a girl Alice who is sitting in a tree outside  bored with her sister.  It was a summer afternoon, when Alice was made to experience the most interesting experience of her life. Bored by her sister reading the book Alice wanders about. Suddenly she gets acquainted with a white rabbit dressed in jacket and waistcoat muttering running late, looking at his watch.  (Gardner, Martin, 5)

Alice is interested in him and follows him even into his burrow. The hole turns out to be a horizontal tunnel deeper than expected, which suddenly turns into a vertical shaft with no basis whatsoever. It is from here the story takes an interesting turn and it worth conducting a literary analysis of it. Alice from here is quite curious as to where the rabbit disappeared; she falls down fall without being hurt. She catches a glimpse of the rabbit but soon he is gone.

Alice from here enters a world of nonsense and logical paradoxes. The rabbit was gone, and Alice finds a small bottle, the first among the adventures to come about, that says "drink me". When attracted by sheer curiosity Alice drinks this potion until she shrank to ten inches tall. It is from here a series of fiction events occur that are yet being critically analysize4d as well as being praised.

Where coming down to appraisal of this literature it can be noted that the adoption of events of the story is such that they have managed to attract the interest of children but also adults. It is one of the most distinctive examples of this type of literature where comic, as well as the structure of narrative style that is being used it termed as impression, especially given the nature of fiction. In support of the above statement it is essential to provide a brief justification by giving an account of the events that are mentioned in the novel. After having the potion Alice tries to open a small door to continue exploring the new world.

Through the door, a glimpse of an attractive garden is visible, but the key that unlocks the door is on a table that Alice cannot reach, all thanks to the new height. The child then tries to regain its original height, eating a cake that meets the sign "eat".  It is from here onwards the keen interest of the audience ...
