Renaissance

The term Renaissance describes the art of the period beginning with its modern era, especially in the 15th and 16 Century. The name was in the 19th Century and shaped the idea is again, after the medieval European culture was once again at the Greek and Roman antiquity -oriented. Typical of the Renaissance, the idea of ??man as an individual, as a creative individual, by the Middle Ages of Europe looked back to antiquity (Wood, 1993), but in one, two centuries later were rediscovered among other ancient texts and in humanism studies the ancient state. According to the Renaissance is also covered by the many inventions and discoveries that can be described as a consequence of spiritual awakening.

Thomas Tallis

The first song selected is by the Thomas Miller by the name of “Gaude gloriosa Dei Mater”. The song is based on anthem and sacred genre and the language of the song is Latin. The song was composed in the reign of Henry VIII, it was considered before the accession of Queen Mary. However, another view regarding the song is that it was composed by Tallis in the honor of Queen Elizabeth. In the later stage, the song was conceived and recorded on big grand scale reflecting the role of early antiphons and Votive masses of Browne, Fayrfax and Taverner. The song was based on the performance time of almost 18-20 minutes and it was scored on six choir part, however, there were nine soloists who sing the song alternatively.

Johann Christian Bach

Bach's church music, besides his original shows ingenuity with Padre Martini acquired technical skills, and especially his Italian operas are typical.
