Introduction

The primary purpose of the research study discusses in the article was to explore linguistics used by proanorexics and recovering anorexics in their expressions of emotions on message boards and homepages. The study collected data from one hundred and sixty two message boards and fifty six homepages in order to determine how the linguistic expressions of proanorexics and recovering anorexics were different from each other. The linguistic examination of collected data was carried out with the help of sophisticated linguistic programming algorithms that identified fundamental differences in the linguistic styles of proanorexics and recovering anorexics.
