Introduction

United States first amendment in constitution allows and provides the chance of freedom to every individual of the country to exercise their own beliefs of religion freely without any interference from government, and simultaneously prohibits actions of government that provides benefit to the followers of one faith or religion over another faith. At this time, when the government tries to accommodate the religious practice of individuals, some of the religious exerciser feels burden on them. However, on the other side of this step, religion accommodation of the Free Exercise to prevent violations needs to be considered carefully again to assure the prevention of violation of the already implemented clause of establishment.

This tension of providing the free practice of religion for every individual but within the limits so that no one can destroy rights of others between the two clauses of first amendment has become the base of creating problem of chaplain of military. This is because, the United States army allowed the opportunity to first Sikh officer to obey their religious beliefs by maintaining his beard, unshorn hair and also allow them to wear a turban. The same thing is practiced with the chaplains of military related to the Christianity religions. This unfair division of rules makes the government to interfere in the military issues and assure the proper fair division of rules between peoples. Because these unfair means may allow some chaplains to overcome others rights on the basis of their religion which may be the big problem for democracy in future.

This essay deals with the problem that demand need of implementing limitation on the military chaplains or some part of this group, who try to use their rights to stop others to freely practice their religion while they follow their religion very freely. The limitations applied on the chaplains of the army as an agent of government of United States is a very positive step that also helps military at that time when this problem arises to come out from critical situation when military also divides into two groups on this issue of free religion practicing.

Basic reason behind Limitations on Chaplain

Although the statutes, military regulations and constitution demands and suggest tolerance of religion within the military of United States, but this creates a problem in enforcement military to how follow these rules strictly within the military. The military's guidelines and regulations on tolerance of religion are enlightened but it is neglected or ignored by some military commanders and officers. Some military commander that are the considered as evangelicals refuse to follow these rules of government while the other military officials who require uniform distribution of rights and powers within the military accept these rules.
