It gives me great pleasure to write this letter of support for Professor XYZ. I have known XYZ since 1996 when she was presenting an invited seminar on issues of gender and science education to science teachers at University of Technology in America. She enriched our research perspectives and understanding of urban science education with her expertise in feminist and gender studies. I have collaborated with XYZ on both research and teaching projects and feel I have a rich appreciation of her capacity as an outstanding mentor.
