Letters Of Intent

With over 29 years of history and after a recent restructuring process of the Master of Health Administration faces the challenge of training professionals with critical, creative and proactive to drive the destiny of health and the health sector in the country. The new curriculum represents a step forward by placing health and health system as the focal point of debate; and because it differentiates the roles of decision makers at the level of medical care who have the responsibility and the possibilities of influencing formulation; and analysis of health policies in the country also apply the recent experiences that the area of health is in the area of administration.

Objectives

Provide knowledge and develop skills for strategic decision making and management of health sector organizations.

Develop in students, from models and national and international experiences, a critical and reflective attitude about health problems and their determinants and an ability to plan in relation to the response of society and the health system to such problems.

Develop the ability to understand the process of formulating, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of sectral policies.

Develop in students the ability to understand economic phenomena of health and health systems

Developing skills for the design and execution of research and to stimulate the production of knowledge and its application in order to transform problematic situations, improving the health of the population and improve system performance.

Promote in students an awareness of ethics and social justice on the implications of management processes and policies related to the health of the population, their life styles and conditions return.
