A learner profile of Robert and two sample lesson plans for him are shown below. The profile includes the last entry in the tutor's log. The two lesson plans are two different ways to design the next lesson (Neil 2003). Lesson Plan 1 focuses on the skills taught in the primary instructional series. In Lesson Plan 2, the tutor and learner decide to set the series aside for the moment and focus on the learner's goal of obtaining his commercial driver's license.
